Bagfloat Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bagfloat, a travel baggage logistics service designed to simplify your journey by handling your luggage with care and efficiency. By booking with us, you ("Customer") agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Service Scope

  • Bagfloat provides doorstep pickup, secure storage, and delivery of travel baggage to instructed destinations via its logistics partners (e.g., India Post and others).
  • Services are available for domestic intercity travel across India.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Bookings must be completed via the Bagfloat app/website.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • All prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer must ensure that baggage is securely packed and ready for pickup.
  • The customer must declare the accurate weight and contents of baggage.
  • In the event of any discrepancy found in the declared weight, the differential charges need to be paid by the customer.
  • The customer is solely responsible for ensuring no prohibited items are placed inside baggage (see Clause 4).
  • If the customer wants the baggage to be returned after pickup is complete, then under no circumstances, any booking amount will be returned. The return booking charges will be applicable to the customer.
  • Customer must fully support the offline/online KYC process.

4. Prohibited Items

Customers are strictly prohibited from sending:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous materials.
  • Alcohol, narcotics, drugs, or other contraband.
  • Perishable goods (fresh food, plants, etc.).
  • Currency, jewelry, luxury watches, or other valuables.
  • Fragile or high-value electronics unless disclosed and insured.
If any prohibited item is found:
  • Bagfloat reserves the right to refuse carriage, confiscate, or report to authorities.
  • The customer bears full liability, including legal action and consequences.
  • No refund will be issued.

5. Security & Inspection

  • Bagfloat and its partners may conduct random checks or physical inspections of baggage at the time of pickups.
  • Customers must cooperate with any verification process.
  • All baggage will undergo mandatory security screening as per aviation/cargo laws. If any prohibited or illegal item is detected, the baggage will be confiscated, and the matter will be reported to the authorities. Bagfloat bears no liability, and no refunds will be processed. The customer shall bear all legal and financial consequences arising from such violation.

6. Storage & Handling

Standard safety and security measures will be applied, but Bagfloat does not guarantee against normal wear and tears.

7. Liability & Insurance

  • Bagfloat's liability is limited to loss or physical damage to baggage caused by its negligence, and only up to the declared/insured value.
  • Liability does not extend to:
    • Delay caused by force majeure, weather, strikes, or government restrictions etc.
    • Prohibited or undeclared items.
  • Customers may opt for insurance coverage at the time of booking for additional protection.

8. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Cancellation allowed only before pickup, with applicable cancellation fees.
  • No refunds once baggage is picked up.
  • No refunds if the baggage contains prohibited items or if delivery is refused due to non-compliance.

9. Delivery

  • Bagfloat aims to deliver within the service timelines (Standard/Express) chosen during booking.
  • Delays caused by force majeure events are beyond Bagfloat's liability.

10. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify Bagfloat and its partners from any loss, claim, fine, or legal proceedings arising from:

  • Misdeclaration of baggage contents.
  • Carriage of prohibited/illegal articles.
  • Customer's non-compliance with these terms.

11. Governing Law

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of India.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Gurgaon.
  • In case any dispute or difference arise between parties and Bagfloat, such an event shall be referred to Arbitration only if not settled through mediation. The cost of mediation/Arbitration will be borne by customer.

12. Acceptance

By booking with Bagfloat, the customer acknowledges and accepts all the above Terms & Conditions.

Via App/Website: "I have read, understood, and agreed to Bagfloat's Terms of Service. I confirm that my baggage does not contain prohibited or illegal items. I accept full responsibility for compliance."
